Painting #15 in 30 in 30 painting challenge "Haycraft Beach, Maui"

5 x 7 Acrylic on canvas panel

Another quiet and secluded beach. Haycraft Beach is on the south end of Ma'alaea. It connects to Ma'alaea Beach and then Sugar Beach. It has a great view of the south coast line and it's a great place to watch whales in the winter time. Oh and the sand is really soft!

This is one of the little beaches across from my house in Kihei.

Painting # 8 in painting challenge "Charley Young Beach, Maui"

5 x 7 Acrylic on canvas

Charley Young Beach is just south of Kama'ole Beach. I paddle board around the rocks there with my dog and always see lots of honu (turtles). It's pretty much spectacular any time of day!

Painting #5 in painting challenge "Sugar Beach"

5 x 7 Acrylic on canvas panel

Sugar Beach also known as Kealia Beach, is said to be the longest beach on Maui. It stretches from North Kihei to Ma'alaea- about 2 1/2 miles. Sometimes I walk parts of it with my dog Oliver. Also have found lots of shells in the winter time there.

Painting # 3 in 30 in 30 challenge

"Halama Street Sunset"
5 x 7 acrylic on canvas panel

This sunset was from one of the beach access paths a few houses down from my home in Kihei, Maui. There were a handful of people sitting and enjoying it with myself and my dog "Oliver".
Love these sunsets!

30 in 30 painting challenge-painting number 1 "Makena Surf"

I love the contrast of the blue waters against the black lava rocks in Makena! I drive over here a lot since it is close to home and have painted several paintings from the area. This 5 x 7 acrylic on canvas is the first in a 30 day challenge to produce 30 paintings-no problem!

But it was the 4th painting of the day. I started with 3 ACEOs first, then this 5 x 7 acrylic on canvas panel. I really prefer painting on the hard panels because the acrylic paint just glides on. But since I have some canvas panels prepared, I'll use them.
